Keep Coverage
Indiana Medicaid requires you to report certain changes. Staying on top of this keeps your coverage from being cut off unexpectedly.
Changes You Must Report
Tell FSSA within 10 days if any of these happen:
- Your income goes up or down
- You move to a new address
- Your household size changes
- You get a new job or lose a job
- You get married, divorced, or separated
- You gain access to health insurance through an employer
- You leave Indiana
How to Report Changes
- Online: gateway.in.gov (fastest)
- Phone: 800-403-0864
- In person: DFR office
Update your address especially. FSSA sends renewal notices by mail. If they cannot reach you, your coverage can end.
HIP Members: POWER Account Payments
If you are on HIP Plus, keep up with your monthly POWER account contributions. Missing payments moves you to HIP Basic, which does not cover dental or vision.
